Risk… One's Biggest Nerve, But Biggest Chance of Growth

One of the biggest pieces of advice that I have received from social entrepreneurs has been that you always have to bet on yourself and take the risk. The value of making a risky decision is a win-win situation if you look at it from a very broad scope. If you take the risk and it works out, you’ll be seen as successful, and others will want to share your story. But even when a risk doesn’t pay off, it is still a valuable learning experience—one that helps you grow, adapt, and move forward on your journey.
As a member of the NMGZ Community, I have had the opportunity to use this piece of advice and learn a lot about myself and the workforce that most of us are starting to enter. Participating in public discourse with people who have well-respected positions in the industry provides you with insight into what could possibly be your job one day. Asking questions is essential in these situations as it shows that you are interested in learning and that you have an interest in that specific field. Questions can be informative but also very laid-back as it shows that you can be conversational. I have found this tactic very useful through networking as you can find topics that make you relatable to other people in the industry. Being shy in these cases doesn't get you anywhere. That question that you may be thinking is "dumb" might be the reason that you get to the next stage of an interview or possibly the job itself.
Another risk people often fear is embracing change. The best way to grow is to step outside your comfort zone. That trip to the next big city might open the door to new opportunities. Constantly asking yourself “What if…” can stunt your growth and cause you to miss out on experiences that could change your life.
My biggest piece of advice for the next generation is this: take the risk! You are never too young to pursue your dreams. We are the future, and every one of us has the potential to become a CEO if we commit to learning, networking, and building our skills. In a world that changes rapidly, never be afraid to take a chance, get involved, and bet on yourself to achieve something great. It’s far better to live a life filled with “I tried” than with “I wish I had.”

Taking that major risk requires presenting yourself perfectly, right down to the final detail. My book needed that dual polish for digital and physical formats. I sought a Professional Ebook & Print Cover Design. Whitewolf Publishers provided the masterful, dual-format curation that ensured my growth strategy was visually sound.
Taking a risk for growth is a great mindset! Submitting novel research felt like a huge risk, too. I used professional Manuscript writing services. I really connected with this post about taking risks and embracing growth. It reminded me of how researchers face a similar challenge when deciding to publish their work for the first time. Many hesitate because of high costs or fear of rejection, but choosing an Affordable Journal Publishing Service can make the process more accessible and less stressful, helping them take that first step toward sharing their ideas confidently.
